Support from Vegetable and Fish Sources That Contain Omega 3-6-9 Fatty Acids and Added Natural Vitamin E for Maximum Support

Even though the FDA does not like to admit that any natural products can help your health, they finally had no choice in the matter of Essential Fatty Acids. The supplement industry ran its own tests and proved the benefits beyond a doubt. Even the pharmaceutical community could not set up tests that could disprove the benefits! Finally a victory for the team using the “God” method instead of the man made method.

Fatty acids are in all fats. It is an organic acid made up of a chain of carbon atoms that are connected to hydrogen atoms. However, there is a difference in fatty acids … some have single bonds and others have a lot of double bonds. The manner in which these bonds connect are what makes them either good for us or not. Naturally we eat a lot of fat in our diet, and the fat contains fatty acids. But are we getting enough of the good kind? That can be confusing. But you don’t have to be confused about Ultimate EFA’s because we only put the “good” fatty acids in this product.

Omega 3 acids are not strictly called essential because the body does make them, but really not in enough quantities. There are two types of Omega 3 beneficial fatty acids: DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid).

According to the FDA on September 8, 2004, “The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today announced the availability of a qualified health claim for reduced risk of coronary heart disease (CHD) on conventional foods that contain eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) omega-3 fatty acids.

Typically, EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids are contained in oily fish, such as salmon, lake trout, tuna and herring. These fatty acids are not essential to the diet; however, scientific evidence indicates that these fatty acids may be beneficial in reducing CHD.

“Coronary heart disease is a significant health problem that causes 500,000 deaths annually in the United States,” said Dr. Lester M. Crawford, Acting FDA Commissioner. “This new qualified health claim for omega-3 fatty acids should help consumers as they work to improve their health by identifying foods that contain these important compounds.””

Many people have studied the brain and the effect of Omega 3 on it. Researchers believe that if we eat our Omega 3’s and 6’s our brains work better. We know that the membranes in the brain are encased in a sheath made up of these two Omega Fatty Acids. Apparently, according to researches, the most communicative membranes contain lots of Omega 3’s and they are the most flexible. Did you know that 60% of your brain is fat? And that is not bad fats, but the good fats as found in Ultimate EFA’s. In the brain the Omega 3 and Omega 6 fats are found in a 1:1 ratio.

Omega 6 oils are essential fatty acids, so that means the body does not manufacture them. Typically these are found in seeds and in vegetable and seed oils. Our source is Borage, an natural plant oil and this contains more Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA – an Omega 6) than any other plant source
